According to immigration and customs enforcement, an American legitimate permanent resident was arrested on Wednesday after trying to smuggle a drug in the country through the southern border using a fake birth certificate.
24-year-old Gloria Lopez-Korona from Mexico attempted to enter the US with a five-year-old boy through San Luis Port of entry into Arizona, where he presented a birth certificate, appearing for a separate child based on age, as the birth certificate was for two years.
The child was firm to having a unaccounted child from Mexico, which was seduced. The child was given melatonin gums and was sleep and disorientation. Homeland Security Investigations seized those items, it is believed to have been used to give medicines to the child.

Lopez-Korona later admitted that she was not the mother of the child and the birth certificate was fake. Lopez-Korona said she was the mother of the house at the age of two in Mexico. Immigration officials found the five -year -old child’s mother, Reyana Cecilia Hernandez Reece in the drug.
According to the New York Post, Lopez-Korona claimed that he was forced to smuggle the child by a person who threatened his family and did not contact the police. He said that he was asked to drive at a place where the child was placed on the car seat on his back seat by an anonymous person. The woman said that she was offered $ 1,500 to take the child but the money was turned down.

At one point, the child told the agents that “he was given to the glory by his mother,” according to the outlet.

Lopez-Korona, who was arrested by the Homeland Security Investigation, faces allegations of foreign smuggling.
Homeland Security Spokesperson Trisia McLaglin said in a statement to Fox News, “It personally drugged an innocent child and smuggled into our country.” “Under President Trump and Secretary NoM, DHS will protect children and stop smugglers and smugglers exploiting children.”
