Before the disappearance of an American college student in the Republic of Dominican, he and the last people were seen on 6 March, who was drinking before deciding to swim in some surf, saying about the questions about liability that the resort where they were living could possibly face it.
In the morning of 6 March, Sudi Konanki and her friend Panta Cane moved to a hotel bar from a hotel bar outside the Republic, where she was living with five female friends from the University of Pittsburgh.
The 20 -year -old clearly went to swim with a 22 -year -old man named Joshua Rebey of Iowa, identified as a witness in her disappearance. Reeb clearly told officials of the Republic of Dominican that he went into swimming and was killed with a large wave that he last saw him.
“I was on the way to the Natalie Holway investigation, although there are some similarities, but there are some differences.” “But in this case, I think it’s laudable, what I have read is based on everything, that it is a sinking. … I don’t think it is an external belief here on the basis of facts, that they were both very intoxicated.”

On the beach, he and Konanki moved into water, while two of his female friends stayed on the ashes. Reebe and Konanki were talking when a “big wave” hit them, Reebe said. At that time there was a red-flag warning on the beach, indicating people not to go to swim in some surf.

“When it comes to the sea … if you do not heal a body very quickly, the maritime life is going to take care of it,” Svekar said. “And we have not yet washed a body.”
Svekar, who is also a lawyer, said that he could definitely see a liability issue for the resort “regarding the disappearance of Konanki”.

“Depending on industry standards for such a resort, where there are enough cameras, people were outside the hotel due to electrical outage. Should there be security on the beach?” He asked.

Two hours before the disappearance of the Connanki, the RIU Republic solved a long electrical outage of about 25-hour, affecting about 30% of the resort, some people to charge light, water, Wi-Fi, or electricity to charge phones or other electronics in their rooms.
“In response to the publications connecting the electrical failure added at RIU Republic Hotel with the tragic disappearance of Riu Reudiksha Chowdary Konanki, RIU Hotels and Resorts, both incidents are fully unseen,” Riu Resorts and Hotels described the desire to explain the two incidents completely, “Riu Resorts and Hotels described the desire to fully explain that both incidents are fully explained.
The original company of the hotel stated that the efforts of the RIU Republic employees were “exemplary in terms of dedication, commitment and professionalism, which to resolve a serious technical failure within hours and reduce the effects on services at that time.”

Louis Vilechez, a lawyer from the Republic of Dominican, does not think that the resort would be held responsible until the guests prove that “the hotel or his staff worked carelessly.”
“If the guest worked carelessly, the hotel, in principle, would not be responsible.”
“Similarly, about the position of the beach swimming, it would be displayed that the hotel failed to provide enough signage to the guests to inform the beach proper use,” Vilechez told Fox News Digital.
“If the guest worked carelessly, the hotel, in theory, would not be responsible – for example, if the guest floats outside the hours, when no lifeguard was on duty and despite the visual threat signs, such as red flags indicate bad weather.”

He continued: “In this particular case, I do not see the base for a claim against the resort, when two adults failed to follow the safety measures installed by the hotel to prevent accidents. That is, it would be necessary to prove that the hotel was negligent in indicating, communicating or implementing safety measures.”
Svekar said that it would be possible for Konanki’s family to sue the resort for negligence if “insufficient security,” “insufficient lighting on the beach” or red-flag warning to close or secure the beach during a red-flag warning.
