Kohli brought his landmark in style, in which Vanindu Hasranga was launched on ropes in the 15th over of Run Chase.
Chasing 174, Kohli led the front, sewing with a bang 92-rran opening partnership Phil SaltWhich scored 65 runs off just 33 balls. He then shared a stand of 83 runs with Devdutt Padikkal (28 to 40), with RCB with a nine -wicket win with 15 balls.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals posted a competitive 173/4, which was made for 75 runs in the fluent 47 delivery of Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, his total proved to be insufficient against the RCB top order.
With this milestone, Kohli not only confirmed his position as a modern day legend, but also demonstrated his permanent class in the format. Pakistan’s Babar Azam (90 fifties), Chris Gayle (88), and Jose Butler (86) Elite T20 follow Kohli in the list of fifty manufacturers.
