Kansas city, mo. – Even after changing hundreds of lawn – and doing it for about 40 million social media followers – This viral star was nervous in this week’s job.
The 26 -year -old face of SB Mowers Spencer, posts its weekly video and ignores the residential lawn to recover and overgrade it. He said that he goes only by his first name to protect his privacy.
He increased to online fame because the video has gone viral repeatedly, often finished with surprised and grateful senior citizens, disabled residents and parents, who thank them for their hours of labor.
A house owner said in a video, “My prayers have been responded to.”
After showing changes from a time-to-time, another replied, “Now my children can play out!”
“You are an angel. A messenger fell out of the sky,” a man reacted.
Spencer said that it is like moments that keep them in the lawn after the lawn for more than three years.
“I have probably done around 200 at this point,” he said.
But an email request stood out – for date in March.
As the Major League baseball teams across the country were preparing for their fields for the early day of Thursday, the Cancer City Royals decided to cut SB grass.
“He has done such amazing works at the Kansas City, Missouri’s Cofman Stadium in Missouri, Grounds and Landscaping,” He has done such amazing work. If he could come here and be a part of our part, I was for it, “I was for this,” Trevor Vance, Senior Director of Maidan and Senior Director of Missouri and Cancerus Stadium in Missouri. “Now, I warned him to come here, you are going to cut grass, which you are not using, because he is used to cut 6-foot long grass and we are below an inch.”
For the Spencer-who grew up in Kansas and a long-time Royals is a fan-it was a real pinch-my moment.
Spencer said, “It was really strange when I saw the email that the royals were arriving out, and he said, ‘Hey, we know you, we love your content,” said Spencer.
He spent the day with the field team, learn to cut and snatch this grass, even conditioning and preparation of dirt and infield.
“He brought his work clothes and went to work,” Vance said. “He really did a good job. On the scale of 1 to 10, I give him an 8 … that he was the first time, a solid 8.”
There was a one -time lifetime opportunity for the experience Spencer that changed the way to look at the baseball.
“I am looking at the grass on the inauguration day and just liking,” Hey, I was a small part in that and that terrible looking turf. “
And it also left an impression on the employees of Royals.
“If the Spencer ever came back and said, ‘I am cutting 6-foot grass, can I have a job?’, I will hire him the same day,” said Vance. “He is a hardworking man with a big heart, and you can’t just find those people very often.”
Of course, Spencer is sharing the experience of Royals on the stream of good works online that they hope they are inspiring others.
He “wants to beautify my community and simply wants to help people, but it is also to encourage people who are looking to get my video out and help their neighbors too,” the Spencer said.
