Venus Williams rolled over the years with a vintage performance to win his first win against a top -20 player in four years.
43-year-old Williams defeated Russian Veronica Kudematova 6-4 7-5 in the first round of Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati on Monday.
Kudematova is ranked 16th in the tournament and is expected to reduce the rear way of Williams, but had other viewers of the seven -time Grand Slam winner.

His previous victory against a top -20 opponent also came to the Western and Southern Open in 2019 when she defeated Kiki Burtens in the second round.
