Jaipur: The United States is looking at India to sell more energy and defense equipment, Vice President JD Vance said on Tuesday, saying that the relationship between the two countries will shape the centenary.
“If India and the United States successfully work together, we are going to see a 21st century that is rich and peaceful,” he said in a speech in the North Western Indian city of Jaipur.
“But I also believe that if we successfully fail to work together, then the 21st century can be very dark time for all of humanity.”
He repeatedly praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his food on Monday. Vance is on his wife as well as one of India’s individual, four-day visit, the daughter of Indian immigrants, and she has three children.
The journey comes at a time when India is running a starting trade deal with its biggest trading partner before the end of the 90 -Divine break on the standing tariffs declared by the administration of India President Donald Trump – running to a starting business deal with its biggest trading partner.
“Prime Minister Modi is a difficult negotiator. He makes a difficult bargaining,” Vance told the audience with a great laughter.
India said in San Francisco on Monday that India hopes to “end” the first part of a trade agreement by Autumn.
Vance said that he and Modi made good progress on trade talks, and confirmed that both sides had finalized the terms of reference for business talks.
“It sets a roadmap towards a final deal between our nations,” he said.
