United States Winger Paul Ariola suffered a torn ACL in the loss of the ConcacAF Champions Cup of Seattle Soundlers at Cruise Azul on Tuesday, confirmed by the MLS club.
The 30-year-old Ariola was closed after half a time before Seattle’s 4–1 defeat. The club on Friday confirmed on social media that it was an ACL tear.
The team wrote, “Best wishes to Paul Ariola as he starts his recovery after suffering from a torn ACL V. Cruise Azul.”
The injury, which is likely to keep arrowola out for the rest of the 2025 season, would be a major setback for sounders. The MLS Cup Hopfools comes only two months after the signing of Ariola in a business with FC Dallas.
Seattle’s issues are not limited to Ariola, the club has also confirmed that both Jordan Morris and Pedro de la Vega are ready to remember between four to six weeks with hamstring and quad injuries respectively.
Ariola scored two goals in seven shows to start his sounders’ career.
The first with Tijuana and DC United, Ariola was a long regular regular with USMNT, scoring 50 caps and 10 goals.
