Washington: The US has canceled all visas organized by the South Sudani passport holders, which is after a dispute over the country’s failure in accepting the return of its citizens exempted from the United States.
The administration of US President Donald Trump has taken aggressive steps to increase immigration enforcement, including repatriation of people illegally in the US.
The administration has warned that the countries that do not withdraw rapidly will face the results including visa sanctions or tariffs to their citizens.
South Sudan failed to respect the theory that every country should accept the return of its citizens on time, when another country, including the US, tries to remove them, US State Secretary Marco Rubio said in a statement.
Rubio said, “Early effective, the United States Department of State is taking action to cancel all visas organized by South Sudani passport holders and to prevent further issuance of further issuance by South Sudani passport holders to prevent entry into the United States.”
He said, “We will be ready to review these works when South Sudan is in full cooperation,” he said.
Rubio said that it is “preventing South Sudan from taking advantage of the United States.”
The Embassy of South Sudan in Washington did not immediately respond to the remarks request.
The African Union Media arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, for interaction with the purpose of a new civil war in the country this week, the first Vice President Rek Maker was placed under the House Arrest last week.
South Sudan President Salwa Keer’s government has accused Machar – a long -time rival, who led rebel forces during the 2013-18 war, killing hundreds of thousands of people – trying to resolve a new rebellion.
Micker’s detention followed the weeks of fighting in the northern upper indigo state between military and white army militia. Machar’s armies were associated with the White Army during the Civil War, but refused to have any existing links.
The 2013–18 war was fought with large-scale ethnic lines, with Dinka’s fighters-behind the largest group of the country, and the second largest group of Noor, Macher.
