After batting first, Islamabad United set a target of 158 runs for Quetta Gladiators in the 23rd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.
The first bat was put on the bat, the defending champion deposited 157/9 in 20 overs.
However, the holders made an opposite debut for their innings, as their new early pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Kyle Mayors held a sharp 58 -run partnership together.
The opening stand ended in the sixth over when Abrar Ahmed gave the gladiators a very important success by cleaning the mayors, who scored 22 runs with the help of three fours and one six.

He remained the top scorer for United with 24-Gennd 39, with two fours and four sixes.
At 77/4 in 9.5 overs with United Reeling, Mohammad Nawaz and Andrees Gus tried to anchor the innings, but scored only 14 runs, as Faheem again made a twin strike, rejecting wicketkeeper batsman and Muhammad Shahzad.
Back-to-back blow reduced United to 91/6 in 13 overs.
After the recession, Hyder Ali joined Mohammad Nawaz in the middle and together he shared a 39 -run partnership for the seventh wicket.
Nawaz was the main aggressive of the stand, while Hyder played a supporting role with his eight balls until Khurram Shahzad was a victim of Khurram Shahzad in the 18th over.
The left-handed batsman, on the other hand, fell into the finals in Kyle Jaimisson’s hunting, which included a four and five sixes with a 34-gent 49 after the top scoring for United.
