Sexual pleasure is essential for overall well -being, affects emotional bonding, intimacy and physical health deeply.

Mention pleasures occur more often in men than women, especially in heterosexual relations.
Sexual pleasure plays an important role in human welfare, influenced by emotional relationships, intimacy and overall health. It extends beyond sexual intercourse, including physical sensations, open communication and mutual honor among partners. Preference to sexual pleasure can increase relationships, improve sexual health and increase self -esteem.
Orgasm, often considered as the final form of sexual pleasure, is highly demanded. However, research has shown a significant inequality in sexual intercourse between men and women, especially in heterosexual relations, where men reach more frequent intercourse than women.
A study published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationship discovered the causes behind the difference, often called “chasing intercourse”.
Understanding the intercourse difference
The intercourse gap refers to different differences in the frequency of sexual intercourse experienced by men and women. The study suggests that the cause of this difference is naturally not related to the body of women, but is related to dynamics within heterosexual relations. When women have sex with other women or engage in single masturbation, they do not face similar challenges in achieving sexual intercourse. The interval heterosexual sex is more stem than the dynamics function.
In many heterosexual relations, there is an imbalance in the discovery of sexual pleasure. Men often focus on their bliss, assuming that it aligns with his partner’s satisfaction, while women prefer their partner’s bliss – sometimes due to social expectations – instead of their own. This unequal approach is one of the reasons why men experience sexual intercourse more often than women.
The study suggests that men report sexual intercourse in 90 percent of sexual encounters, while women only experience 54 percent of time intercourse. This inequality highlights the lack of focus on mutual pleasure in heterosexual sex, where a partner (usually man’s) often requires precedent.
Role of support
The study emphasizes the importance of mutual support in increasing sexual satisfaction. To be optimal to sexual satisfaction, both partners need to feel that their needs are actually addressed. However, in many heterosexual relations, men are often mainly related to their intercourse, which can create emotional distances and obstruct mutual satisfaction.
Research suggests that sexual satisfaction increases when both partners feel equally valuable in terms of their happiness. In healthy relationships, mutual care and understanding are important, ensuring that both individuals experience fulfillment and are equally worthy of sexual pleasure.
