President Volodimier Zelansky has stated that Ukraine was “fully committed” to have a creative interaction with the United States representatives next week on ways to end the war with Russia.
Since taking over in January, US President Donald Trump has stopped intelligence with Kiev, along with US military aid in Ukraine.
He has accused Zelansky that he is not serious about reaching a peace agreement with Russia, who invaded Ukraine three years ago and seized about 20% of his territory.
Zelancesi said in a post on X on Saturday, “Ukraine is demanding peace from the first second of this war. Realistic proposals are on the table. The key is to move forward quickly and effectively.”
The Ukrainian President said that he would visit Saudi Arabia next week and after a meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday, Ukrainian diplomat and military representatives would stay for a meeting with the US team on Tuesday.
“From our side, we are committed to fully creative dialogue, and we hope to discuss and agree on the necessary decisions and steps,” he said.
The Ukrainian delegation will include External Affairs Minister Andree Sibiha, Zelanski Chief of Staff Andrey Yerm and Defense Minister Rustom Umrov.
Trump’s special messenger, Steve Witcoff, has also stated that he was discussing with Ukraine for a framework deal to end a three -year war with Russia, and a meeting with Ukrainian was planned in Saudi Arabia the following week.
In February, Riyadh hosted a meeting between the US and Russian officials to discuss ways to prevent the most deadly struggle in Europe since World War 2.
Ukraine was not included in those talks, expressing concern in Kiev and among its European colleagues.
Zelansky met Trump at the White House on 28 February, but when he clashed in front of the world media in peace tricks, the encounter got into a sharp.
