    What happened? Three years after Russia invaded Ukraine, the UK has joined the European Union in a new era of restrictions targeting technology exports. The latest measures include restrictions on video game controllers and other consumer electronics, degrading Russia’s military capabilities, describing their targets.

    While the Pentagon now uses custom-made controllers to operate its system, Russia continues to rely on off-the-shelf video game controllers manufactured in the west. Officers in the UK aims to block the export of these devices after reports, which revealed that Russian forces have revived them to control drones in Ukraine aerial attacks.

    Controller ban is part of 150 new trade restrictions imposed by the UK, which is now aligning with the earlier strategy of the European Union.     Other restricted products include software to identify new fuel sources such as oil and gas. Restrictions also cover the exports of chemicals, electronics, metal, machinery and software tools associated with energy and defense areas. Dauti said that these technologies may contribute to the production of Russia’s weapons.

    The UK announced new sanctions after one of Russia’s most deadly attacks on Kiev in recent weeks. On Thursday, Russian force Launched Throughout the night, a barrage of “dumb” missiles and 215 drones, nine people died and dozens of more injured. Russia claimed that the attack targeted Ukraine’s military facilities.

    After the attack, UK Foreign Minister David Lammi condemned Russia to target Ukrainian, while Kave officials were in London to discuss a possible peace treaty.
