US President Donald Trump has not rejected the possibility of demanding a third term in the White House, despite the 22nd amendment it has been banned in the US Constitution, Roots Informed
In a special interview with NBC News, Trump said that there were ways to do so and insisted that he was “not joking.”
“Many people want me to do it,” Trump said in a phone interview on Sunday morning, referring to his supporters. “But, I mean, I basically tell them that we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in administration.”
Trump clarified: “I am focused on the present.” However, when asked if he wanted another term, he replied, “I like to work.” He reiterated, “I am not joking,” but said, “It’s very early to think about it.”
When they were questioned about possible plans to allow them to find a third term, Trump said: “There are ways you can.” He admitted that such a method may include Vice President JD Vance and subsequently handed over to the presidency. “This is one,” he confirmed, before adding, “but others are also.” When pressurized to reveal another method, Trump simply replied, “No.”
It will be extremely difficult to change the constitution to overcome the two-term limit, two-thirds of the Congress or two-thirds of the US states require approval, followed by the three-fourth states.
Despite these challenges, Trump pointed to his pole numbers, stating that “a lot of people would like me” serve a third term.
Meanwhile, Trump Ellie Steve Bainon has predicted that the former President “will run again in 2028 and win.”
The White House quoted its previous social media posts, by sharing a fake magazine cover on the X with the characteristics of Trump, characterized by Trump: “Long Live the King!”
