Some college wrestlers had their all-American moments on Saturday night.
Pen State wrestler Carter Staroki made history by becoming the first five-time national champion in the history of NCAA, shortly thereafter, he moved to join hands with President Donald Trump on matte-side seats at Wales Fargo Arena in Philadelphia.
Staroki defeated Parker Kakesen of North Iowa 4-3 to win the 184-pound championship and their fifth NCAA title.

This is the first and possibly last time when a college wrestler achieves such an achievement.
After participating in the 2021 season, Staroki was eligible for the fifth year when all athletes were given another year due to the Kovid -19 epidemic.
Kel Sanderson, the coach of Starocci, also joined hands with the President on Saturday night.

On Friday, other pen state wrestlers talked about attending Trump’s program.
“This is a great honor for the game of wrestling,” Josh Barr of Pen State told reporters. “Wrestling game is in a place where he needs development. Life and energy are needed behind it, and President Trump brings it.”
Michelle Meseenbrink told reporters on Friday that regardless of politics, he believes that Trump’s presence would help improve the number of spectators.

“We want to see people, okay? We want people to see wrestling. We want people to focus not only money, but people’s time, and focus. So, I think it’s good. And I think it would really be good if it was conservative or generous,” said Messenbrink.
“Democrat or Republican, whichever it is, is the President of the United States. The free world leader in our wrestling program is really good when you think about it.”
The wrestling championship has returned to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia after 2011, when Pen State won all this. The kick started a major run by Nitney Lions which continues. He has now won 12 of the last 14 titles, which includes four in a row, after winning the team championship before Saturday.
Trump met with a handful of other wrestlers even after winning his championship.
Trump’s presence in the event brought a national spotlight for an electrical energy in the college’s wrestling game and building.
Trump Wales went to the Fargo Center and was congratulated by a husk crowd, “USA! Some fans instigated when going inside Trump.

Jordan was a wrestling champion at High School and Visconsin-Madison University, where he won the NCAA Division I Male Wrestling title twice. He was later an assistant coach with the wrestling program of Ohio State University from 1987 to 1995.
This is the second time in three years when President Donald Trump has participated in the NCAA Wrestling Championship. He also participated in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2023.
