According to the Associated Press, six people were killed and nine were injured when a tourist submarine drowned on the Egyptian banks on Thursday.
All the victims were Russians, and the tourist was one of the 45 passengers aboard the submarine, the provincial authorities who spoke on the condition of anonymity not to print due to not having an authority to talk to the media.
This drowned Herghada’s Red Sea Resort took place from one of the beaches in the tourist Promenade area, and that is the place where 29 people were rescued.
There were some minors in the submarine, Russian consular officials in Herghada said according to AP. It is unknown how many crew members were on the submarine.

The sub -Hergada belonged to Sindabad Hotel. At around 10 am on Thursday morning, it flew on a regular scheduled tour to see the Coral Reefs and went about half a mile from the shore.
According to the company’s website, a Herghada-based company was operated by a Sindhbad-based company, with 44 passenger seats, two pilot seats and a round watching window for each passenger.

According to the Russian Consulate, the rescued people were taken to hospitals and are in a stable position.
The reason for the submergence of the submarine is not yet known.

Tourism is an important sector of Egyptian economy, but many tourist companies have traveled or limited on the Red Sea due to the dangers of conflicts in the region.
