Dame Julia said: “It is a great honor to win such a prestigious award and these other really inspiring, recognized among the rank of bold women.
“I often use the phrase ‘Brever I am, Brever Eye Gate”. For the London Stock Exchange, we are bold, brave, ambitious and inclusive and its role in building an ecosystem in which entrepreneurs and investors are very important for me.
“That’s why I am honored for winning the award – one who himself passes the metaphor baton for female business leaders from Madam Clickwot.
“However, no organization is about a person, but about remarkable teams of those who make them. I am incredibly proud, and are grateful to them, which teams have supported me to run the London Stock Exchange and our broader businesses every day.”
Ms. Jafarjee said: “I am proud of how far the shellworks have come, a small start-up is growing in a leader in sustainable packaging. Last year we reached £ 1 million in revenue, and this year we are setting our places at £ 4.5 million.
“The journey has become difficult many times, but is deeply beneficial, and I am excited to what is next.
“The biggest challenge I have faced with Shellworks is doubt. People often doubt that what we do is even more possible. First, they did not believe that we could make products. Then, he said that it could not be extended. Later, he stressed that it could not be sold.
“Each phase has been my boldest and most brave achievement to prove them wrong, and I am honored that the award recognizes that visit. I hope to be inspired to be fearless and pursuing their passion.”
Jean-Mark Galot, president of Veuve Clicquot, said: “Construction on the legacy of Madam Clickwot, these two women are re-shaping the future of the business.
“Their achievements are beyond the benefits, women serve as an inspiration to the aspiration of entrepreneurs. Whether it is running the UK economy or dealing with plastic waste, they show that bold decisions, standing out, proving others to be wrong, both lead to financial success and positive social impact.”
