Why he decided to make four films instead of one, Mendes explained, “I felt that the band’s story was very big to fit in a single film, and that it did not seem right to turn it into a TV mini-series.”
Mendes will direct all four Beatles films and will manufacture Pippa Harris and Julie through their Neel Street Productions banners. Sony Pictures will distribute entertainment biopics. Apple Corps Ltd. And Bethles has given full rights to the music and life stories of the band.
