    Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi cities rank high for most overweight in America

    According to disease control and prevention centers, the US is struggling with a obesity problem, as about 42% of American adults suffer from obesity.

    Is it due to lack of healthy foods or easy access to fast food, obesity -related health care costs in the US have increased to $ 190.2 billion, the National League of Cities have recently been reported.

    In a new Walthhab study, 100 of the most populous metropolitan areas are compared to 19 major indicators of weight -related problems that the American cities in 2025 suffer from the most weight and obesity.

    The analysis then placed each city on three dimensions: obesity and overweight, health results and food and fitness.

    Obesity is defined by CDC as body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more. Severe obesity is defined as BMI of 40 or more.

    The following cities came to the top as the most weight in the country.

    1. McLayen, Texas

    Mcallen, Texas, is ranked number 1 as the most weight city in America.

    Hidalgo County first came in total, with thick adults (45%) and the highest percentage of physically passive adults.

    McClen specially ranked at number 3 for food and fitness with obesity and overweight. It also came in fifth place for health results.

    The study also found that 31% of adults in McClen are overweight, but do not suffer from obesity.

    The city of Texas is the second largest part of obese teenagers, analysis found, and the fifth largest number of thick children.

    “McClen residents are also greatly affected by unhealthy weight related diseases,” said Walthhab.

    “For example, the city is the eighth largest part of people with diabetes and the fourth is the highest heart disease rate.”

    2. Little Rock, Arkanses

    Little Rock, Arkansas, ranks as the second most weight city in the US.

    The capital of Arkansas came fourth for health results, fifth for obesity and overweight, and came seventh for food and fitness.

    According to Valethab, the fourth largest rate of thick children between the ages of 10 to 17 in the city is about 23%, as well as a high rate of adolescent obesity.

    Little Rock residents struggle with conditions related to weight, with high blood pressure, the fourth largest percentage of adults and the fifth largest rate of heart disease.

    The city has the second lowest number of health teachers per capita, the study has shown, and has a limited access to healthy foods.

    “The problem will probably remain for the future of the future, as the Little Rock has the second largest estimated obesity rate for 2030,” Walthhab predicted.

    3. Jackson, Mississippi

    Jackson, Mississippi, came in total as number 3, but ranked at number 1 in the benchmark with obesity and overweight.

    The city also has the second largest percentage of physically passive adults, which Valethab has considered a “major cause” why many residents are overweight and thicker.

    About 37% of adults in Jackson suffer from obesity, as well as high rates of obesity for children and adolescents.

    In medical conditions, the city has the second largest percentage of residents, which have the sixth highest rate of stroke and high blood pressure.

    Walthhab said that many Jackson residents lack easy access to healthy food.

    Christina Palasios, PhD, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dietatics and Nutrition at Florida International University, emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy diet for weight.

    “My suggestion is what we eat and drink and make it an important look and improve someone’s diet to improve how to improve it slowly,” he said. “Changing everything at once is very challenging. Take an action and apply it.”

    “For example, you can start eating all your food with water instead of juice, soda, etc.,” he said.

    “It may take some time, as many are used to drink some sweet, but this is a powerful first step, as calories from beverages are not registered by our brain and can drink too much calories without compensating later in the day.”
