Tesla has denied reports that it has approached the recruitment firms, which are to begin a search for a replacement as the Chief Executive of Elon Musk.
The Wall Street Journal said on Wednesday that the board of the electric car firm started searching for Mr. Musk’s successor last month.
It said that this was due to the administration of US President Donald Trump and the focus of Mr. Musk’s attention on his job at the price of Tesla’s drowning share.
However, in the statement on Thursday, Tesla said the report was “absolutely wrong”, while Mr. Musk wrote on his social media platform X that the paper was “a infamous for journalism”.
Tesla President Robin Denhom Xe: “A media report incorrectly claimed that Tesla Board had approached the recruitment firms to start searching the CEO in the company.”
“This is absolutely wrong (and the media was informed this before the report was published).”
He said: “Tesla’s CEO is Elone Musk and the board is highly confident in its ability to execute the exciting development plan.”
The Wall Street Journal refused, citing anonymous sources, wrote that Mr. Musk was told by the board that he needed to spend more time on Tesla and he needs to say so in public.
Paper said that Mr. Musk did not push back against the suggestion.
Last week, Mr. Musk said on a conference call about the earnings, “I will allocate my time and more time to Tesla” and “significantly” promised to cut back his official role.
Writing on x on ThursdayMr. Musk was a heavy critic for Wall Street Journal reporting.
“It is a very bad violation of morality that the WSJ will publish a deliberately wrong article and fail to include an uneven refusal by the Tesla Board of Directors,” he said.
He later re -prepared an comment from an X user, in which the paper is called “garbage”.
Protests and boycott
The leadership of Shri Musk of Trump’s newly constructed advisory body – Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) – has attracted a lot of criticism.
Some of Tesla customers say they No longer feel loyal to the brand Due to the controversial political views and actions of Mr. Musk, due to the charge of Dogi.
Some have promised to boycott the firm, while others have staged a protest against it due to Mr. Musk – in some cases the dealership suffered a criminal damage.
Meanwhile, investors and analysts have stated that his juggling about Mr. Musk’s reputation and high level roles is part of the reason that Tesla is financially struggling.
In March, Trump -Mr. Musk told reporters in White House gardens on his behalf that anyone using violence against Tesla would “go through hell”.
He then promised to buy a red model-S, one of the several Teslas standing in line on the White House Drive that day to support the electric car firm.
‘I wear a lot of hats’
Temporary government employees, such as Mr. Musk, are usually limited to 130 days a year, which if counted from the opening day of Trump, will end in late May.
But it is not clear that Shri Musk, who contributed more than a quarter of one billion dollars in Trump’s re -election, stepped into a fully.
Trump said that last month he would keep Mr. Musk “as long as I could keep him”.
On Wednesday, Mr. Musk, who also runs the space firm SpaceX, made light of the idea that he was doing a lot of work.
In a video posted on X at the White House Cabinet Meeting, he was wearing two baseball caps.
“They say I wear a lot of hats,” Mr. Musk said in the video. “This is true. Even my hat hat.”
Bloomberg said that Mr. Musk also said on Wednesday that Dogi should check the cost of renewal of the US Central Bank, Federal Reserve, especially its headquarters.
Mr. Musk has earlier made similar comments, increasing the idea that the fed should be audited. However, such a step will lead to questions about the bank’s freedom.
