Tata Nexon EV45 KWH: Tata Nexon EV, once the best -selling electric car in India, now faces difficult competition from rivals. Currently, it is priced at Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 17.19 lakh, with two battery pack options between East-Dhurroom-30kwh and 45kwh. I (Laxman Rana) recently got a chance to experience the 45kwh model. After running it for 10 days, here are my comments on its performance.
The overall drive was smooth and comfortable, continuing with my experience behind the wheel of Tata Nexon EV45. This electric SUV offers three separate driving modes -ECOs, city and sports -the reaction and battery performance of each motor modifies, catering for specific requirements. Its motor crank is a maximum power of 106 kW and peak torque of 215 Nm.
Eco mode: In eco mode, motor provides adequate performance prioritizing efficiency. While the acceleration felt slightly light in this mode, it is ideal for those who are looking to maximize the vehicle range.
The set for level 3 of the regenerative braking set further enhanced the driving range, enabling a paradise near driving experience. To get the maximum range from its 45 kwh battery packs, ECO mode is really useful.
City Mode: City mode provides a balance between performance and efficiency. In this mode, it seems easy to drive the car into everyday traffic, with smooth power distribution and a decent reaction from the motor.
Compared to eco mode, Range is slightly lower in city mode, but improves motor performance with better acceleration. In addition, the car feels a little early with linear power distribution.

game mode: To experience its thrilling performance, it must be your Go-to drive mode. Sports mode is about performance while the range takes back seat. The acceleration becomes very sensitive, making the highway drive fun.
In sports mode, instant torque delivery compared to eco mode or city mode created a noticeable difference. However, if you drive in sports mode, you have to charge it more often as the battery consumption increases.
Ride and handling: The quality of the overall ride is comfortable. While the suspension performs a proper job of absorbing the road bumps, the ride feels a firm at a low speed, especially on the thick patches. At high speed, the vehicle is stable and planted. It holds well around the corners. However, a noticeable body is roll during aggressive cornering.
The two-spoke steering wheel, the characteristic of an enlightened Tata logo, looks good at hand. Although it provides a decent grip, there is some space for improvement in case of response and accountability.
