Short: You usually do not see the software update a significant promotion of performance on the phone, but it seems that Google is increasing the trend for the pixel lineup for almost every model released since 2022. A new update GPU improves up to 62% in the benchmark at Geekbench – these devices are not a welcome to consider when it is for graphics processing.
Redditors of AT /R /Pixel_Phones have highlighted some impressive Geekbench 6 GPU benchmark score for pixel devices. Mishal Rahman of Android Authority reports that Google Pixel 7A has seen the most important growth – up to 62%, to be specific. Then the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 are increased by 31% and 32% respectively.
In particular, the performance update is not limited to Android 16. Rahman noted that his Pixel 6A, which is still on Android 15, also saw about 23% spike in the Geekbench 6 GPU benchmark. Even improved the Pixel 9 Pro, scored an impressive 8,252 points. The real reason for the profit is the introduction of new GPU drivers.
All this seems impressive for a series of phone gamers, usually clearly clear due to their lack of gaming performance, at least compared to the choice of Snapdragon’s Adreno GPU.
Meanwhile, all tenser-managed pixel arm rely on Mali GPU. Thankfully, Google has more control over its self-designed tenser platforms-a benefit that the company is clearly exploiting to exclude more performance.
Most phone manufacturers avoid rolling the important driver updates to post-launching their equipment to avoid stability issues. But Google took advantage of its platform benefits to do so.
The question is whether these Geekbench scores actually translate into real -world miracles. Geekbench is designed to mimic everyday tasks such as machine learning and computer vision, but it is necessary to indicate further tests which apps will benefit the most from this update.
Rahman noted that apps availing vulcan graphics API should take more advantage of driver reforms. The game hopes to run fast rapidly.
Everyone said, at least the pixel phone has inch a slightly inch of its Snapdragon-managed rivals in terms of GPU skills. It may be that if Google has released these updates soon, the lineup has not pulled a flex to retreat from rivals in the performance.
