Fanner Stephanie Turner became a domestic name among the workers for women’s rights in the game.
A viral video of Turner to oppose a transgender rival ignited more debate about inclusion of transgender in women’s games, especially in fencing.
“This probably, at least at the moment, would destroy my life,” Turner told Fox News Digital. “It is very difficult for me to do so.”

His decision was inspired by his opposition to compete against biological men.
“This is a serious issue that is happening within all sports, and needs to be addressed. There is a difference between men and women,” said the Turner. “This is a civil rights movement for women and girls, and I prioritize the safety and rights and protection of women and girls on trans-identified men.”
His faith also overcome his lifetime political loyalty.
Turner, a long -registered Democrat, who broke from the party for the most recent election, says he is now “New Republican Orthodox”.
He replaced the parties on the issue of transgender athletes in women and girls game.
“A small group of people holding a very large athlete base hostage for extremist liberal views,” said Turner.
How did it reach this point?
She comes from a generous background

Turner was born and raised in Washington DC, and now lives in Deep Blue Montgomery County, Maryland.
Over the years, he is included in a close friend group, including other Faur. It also includes several members of the LGBT community.

“They did not know that my women had this opinion about transgender women. And one of them (fencing) club was one of my really good friends. He is in the LGBT community, and a lot of my friends are also in the LGBT community.
“I don’t want them to think that I hate them in some way. And I don’t want to lose them as friends.”
But the Turner also feels that she cannot discuss a legitimate discussion with some people about the issue.
“They lie and say that estrogen can make a man a woman at the point where you cannot give the difference, and it becomes just a crazy argument.”
He started fencing in college and gradually avoided Trans contestants
The 31 -year -old Turner entered the competitive fencing at the age of 19, 12 years ago. She joined the club at the University of Maryland and got stuck with it since. She was later eligible to compete in USA fencing.
“I make a lot of time and money for this,” Turner said citing travel, equipment and registration expenses.
The Turner’s official fencing tracker page features 21 podium finish, which includes a gold medal in women’s foil at an event called The Trick in Edison, The Trick or Retreat ROC August 18 in New Jersey.

But she reached a point in her career when she had to know about the USA fencing official gender eligibility policy.
The official policy allows transgenders to compete in the category of women in both junior and senior levels after completing a calendar year of testosterone suppression treatment. Evidence of obedient hormone therapy should be provided before competition.

A policy has been announced in November 2022 near USA Fencing, which is to give preference to “to damage members of LGBTQ communities” and suggests that “there are no laws that reduce women’s reproductive health.”
“In fencing, personally, I often see it,” said Turner. “I have seen transgender fensor in women’s tournaments and girls tournaments in various age categories, especially Y -14 (the youngest group).”
Turner had a previous experience to avoid a trans rival in summer of 2013. He saw a trans athlete report, which he was earlier known as a biological male fanner, in the second name. When the Turner noticed that the athlete was listed as a competitor among the summer citizens of that year, he decided not to leave.
Turner said, “I never registered because I knew he was going to live there.” “In previous years, when I knew about the presence of transgender fans, I hadn’t registered yet.”
She was facing a trans athlete in the last weekend and decided to do something different.
Turner always ensured them to avoid registration for events after veting for trans athletes.
But whatever she could not do, she was one of them what she did.
This was the first time for a Division IA event in the end of last week called Cherry Blossom Open, which is open in Alma Metter at the University of Maryland. Redmond Sulivan, who first competed in the men’s division, was registered according to the fencing tracker and placed in a bracket similar to the turner.
He learned this at 10:30 pm before the matchup with Sulivan.
Till that point, she was considering a different approach to handle the situation, given how many times the trans inclusion was being made.
Turner said, “I considered in the future that I wanted to avoid not registering for events, just because a transgender person was there, because it could only be a transgender person in each of my incidents,” the Turner said.
“So, I was so,” you know if I am going to give it to God. If this person shows in my program, and they are on my strip, I will take a knee, and it will be God’s will. ”
But the Turner wanted to take things a step forward, a step he knew that he could “destroy his life,” but he did so anyway.
A few minutes before taking a bandage to kneel against Sulivan, she went to one of her closest friends at the club for a favor.
“I said,” I am going to do something, and I want you to film it. I am really nervous about it, and if you want it is your last chance, because I didn’t know what the response was about to happen, “the Turner said.
His friend agreed to film The knee, recorded a scene that would be seen in the fencing world.
The turner was then dealt with a black card, disqualified from the incident and exiting so quickly that he did not find his peers, trainers or someone else to say another word.
Turner’s knee has ignited global conversations and even a commercial
Turner did not want this role. She accepts to be a private person without any social media channels that “enjoys oblivion”.
“I was hoping that someone else would come forward or change the heart of the board of directors,” said Turner.
An non -profit fencing organization gave an open letter to the members of the USA Fencing Board in December, urging the National Governing Body to revaluate its stance on several issues, including the inclusion of transgender for the game.
The letter stated, “Politics on the one hand, it is a reasonable request to fennel on the issue and create a safe place, where the voices of all women are heard without ridicule and misconduct.”
But nothing was done.
Turner is the latest fighter in the ongoing culture war on the issue of trans athletes in women’s games. He has conducted a television interview on Fox News Channel, his story has been covered by several media outlets and also depicted in a commercial.
Sports activist brand XX-xy athletics on Thursday released its new commercial of Turner’s knee clip.
For him, it is all worth it if it means that we have to hold transporting transporters such as USA fencing and politicians.
“This is a litmus test for general knowledge whether a politician is able to lie on your face to follow the common culture,” said the Turner.
“Something needs to be done.”
USA Fencing made a statement addressing Fox News Digital.
“USA Fencing implemented our current transgender and nonbinary athlete policy in 2023. The policy was designed to expand the game of fencing and create an inclusive, safe place. The policy is based on the principle that everyone should have the ability to participate in the game and was based on the available research,” said in the statement.
“We respect the attitude of all the parties and encourage our members to share with us because the case develops. It is important for the fencing community to engage in this dialogue, but we hope that this conversation will be held respectfully, whether in our tournament or in online places. The method of progress is a respectable discussion on the basis of evidence.”

A spokesperson for USA fencing also reported that Fox News Digital Turner was not punished for his stand against Trans Inclusion, but simply refuses the fence.
The spokesperson said, “In the case of Stephanie Turner, his disqualification was not related to any personal statement, but only a direct result of his decision to fencing a qualified rival, which the FIE rule clearly prohibits,” the spokesperson said.
“FIE (International Fencing Federation) According to the technical rules, especially Article T.113, a fanner is not allowed to deny the fence to another properly recorded fence for any reason. Under these rules, the disgraceful disqualification and this restrictions are involved in the same restrictions as a result of such a rejection. This policy existing to maintain the honesty and maintain the honor of the game and maintain the honor of the game. Is.”
