New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad All -rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has opened about the qualities that he praises Indian cricket legends MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma the most.
The 21-year-old, who gained valuable international experience after playing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year, talked about what he wanted to learn from these icons.
On Reddy’s show General Bold, Reddy said, “From Dhoni, I would love to work for my captaincy skills. From Kohli, I praise his aggression and passion for the game.

The young man also acknowledged the influence of these senior players on Indian cricket. He said, “This generation of Indian cricket has been shaped by legends like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others. They have taken Indian cricket to new heights, and we aspire to pursue their legacy. Players like Jaspreet, Rohit and Virat are actually golden property in Indian cricket,” he said.
Apart from taking inspiration from top cricketers in India, Reddy is also eager to test himself against Jaspreet Bumrah, one of the world’s best fast bowlers.
Mumbai Indians Pesar is currently recovering from low back injury and is expected to return to action during IPL.
Reddy, who shared a dressing room with Bumrah during the test series against Australia, is keen on a competition against him in the IPL.
“I would be grateful to the challenge. He is one of the best bowlers in the world right now, and will be an exciting competition. If I manage to score a few runs against him, I will be very happy. Competition against top bowlers like Bumrah that makes the game exciting,” he said.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on 17 April, where Reddy could achieve his much -awaited duality with Bumrah.
