La Sail is hiring Redford’s Daris Nichols as a basketball coach of his next major men, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.
Nichols have been coaches in Redford for the last four sessions, winning 20 games on two occasions including the previous season. Highlanders finished second for second in the Big South Conference in the second season of Nicole, won 21 games and carried forward the CBI semi -finals.
In this season, Redford finished 20–13, defeated at the top seeded high point in the semi-finals of the Big South tournament.
In four sessions, he went to 68–63 in total.
Before taking over at Redford in 2021, Nicole was an assistant coach in Florida, Louisiana Tech, Voford and North Kentki. He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant under Bob Hagins in West Virginia, where he played his college ball in 2004-08.
Nichols replaced Fran Danny, who announced last month that he was retiring at the end of the season. Danfi Philadelphia is the most won coach in the Big 5 History, coaching in Penn and Temple before taking over in La Sale in 2022 and going 44–54 in three sessions.
