The Merimac Coach, which Galell has agreed to a new 10 -year contract that will tie him from the program by 2035, sources told ESPN.
Gallo directed Warriors through its transition in Division I in 2019 and won three league titles in six years at DI level.
Starting his coaching career as an assistant coach under the Gallo playing Gallo and Burt Hai from 2005 to ’09 from 2005, in 2016, Dartmouth and Robert Morris handled the program after staff on employees. He went to 61-34 in three sessions in Division II, reaching NCAA tournaments in all three campaigns.
Merimac joined Division I in 2019, Gallo led it to the NEC regular-season title a year. Warriors will win three regular-season titles in their first five years at the DI level, and also won the NEC tournaments in 2023, but were ineligible to participate in the NCAA tournament during the DI transition.
In 2024–25, the first season of the program at MAAC finished second in regular-session standing before falling in the semi-finals of the Merimac Conference tournament. The warriors moved 18–15 in total and 14–6 in league play.
Overall, the conference under Gallo since Merimac Division I go to Division I is 72-34.
