A small town police department of a small town near the Canadian border has been allegedly fined for participating in a unauthorized labor strike during an icy stretch in this winter.
The Sangh described the fine as vengeance and abuse of power, which deprived the authorities of the fixed process.
One of the officials says the allegations are not true. He went to work, participated in on-duty training and even created a drunk stop during “every day” snowfall.
“They are upset that we did not make them enough money and met their alleged ticket Kota,” said Andy Thompson, a Tonwanda Police Officer and the Union President of the Department, Tonwanda Police Club.

Tonwanda police chief James Staffiger, who is asking the residents of the Union city to exclude, said Thompson’s allegations are “without merit”.
He said, “I stand behind the allegations filed against the Sangh with the Public Employees’ Relations Board and the Union,” he told Fox News Digital. “The process needs to be manifested properly and well.”
Thompson is one of around 50 officers, who were accused of going on strike without an hour on the nine-day stretch for an hour in a day and two hours of salary was docked for each of those days, according to a letter, which he received, which he got which was signed by Tonwanda city observer who was signed by Mamminger.

“We didn’t strike. We showed our work every day. We did our work every day,” Thompson told Fox News Digital. “We did not write enough tickets, and we did not invest enough money to the city’s coffers. And they decided that they were going to fix each officer.”
The ticket Kota is illegal under the New York Act, he noted, and the workplace can also be vengeance.
In the end of January, between February, the city received so much snowfall from road salt, and police calls increased. Thompson told Fox News Digital that after the retirement of seven officers or leaving at the beginning of the new year, everyone was required to spend 16 hours to provide compulsory training with a gun issued by the new department.

This year, Tonwanda Police has issued 123 tickets, according to a filing with New York’s Public Employment Relations Board. Between 2021 and 2024, the department released between 439 and 653 in the same period. City leaders alleged in the document that the deficiency is the result of striking of authorities without permission in violation of the state’s civil service laws.
“This is unheard of,” said Mike O’Mera, president of the police conference of New York, the state’s largest police union. “They are making it as they go together.”
He also called the city’s labor complaint against Tonwanda officials “unprecedented,” as well as fines, which is twice as per hour wages per hour for the authorities, he was allegedly striking.
“It may be somewhat unprecedented to claim that the lack of traffic ticket issuing forms a strike,” “Legal Guide to Human Resources” and said Jerry Cutter, author of Colombia University Lecturer. “However, an important issue from a legal point of view is whether the employees have stopped their duties in a normal way.”

Experts say that, on one side a quarrel, it boils that there is any more concrete evidence.
Cutler told Fox News Digital, “The reduction in ticket quantity may point to a concrete effort to interfere with the employer’s operation, in which the possibility of action will be found to form an illegal strike.” “Alternatively, evidence can suggest some valid reasons for low ticket quantity – or that it is not a suitable means of comparison – which shows that the law has not been violated.”
Department leaders say that the authorities went on strike to oppose the disciplinary measures taken against Tonwanda officer Bikramjit Singh, an US military veteran accused of incorrectly presenting the evidence, investigating a possible drug deal.
Thompson said, “He had his own body camera. He opens this water bottle. There is a bag.” “He sees the bag. He says it is a garbage. He wraps it in his glove, and he disposes it.”
However, a suspected drug dealer and suspected drug user later told the police that there were drugs in the bag, and department officials fired Singh to throw out, Thompson said. Thompson said that the alleged drugs were never recovered, but Singh resigned as he could have spent his law enforcement certificates due to being fired.

Stresses were already boiling between rank-end-filing and staff, an aminger appointment, which he accused of incorrectly forcing Singh and withdrawing paperwork, which would allow them to find new employment in law enforcement in another department.
The 30 -year -old member of the department, Stofigar, was appointed as the chief five years ago as part of the effort to eradicate corruption from the department. Thompson, also, represents new leadership, has been the president of the Union for more than one year.
Citing public records, Thompson said, “There is no proper process, and the whole thing was done between the supervisor and the legal firm that represents the city, which donates a large amount of funds to the city of the city supervisors’ campaign and the Tonwanda Democratic Party campaigns.” “So, it is more than a witch hunting more than anything.”
Emminger did not respond to the remarks request. Nor was the city’s law firm.
Thompson believes that the allegations have been identified for the first time when the state’s civil service law has been used to fail police officers to meet “Kota”, as he said that the city was lost due to a decrease in traffic quotes issued during the city’s snowfall.
Thompson said, “It is going to be a case law until it all ends.” “It was never done to any police association before.”

The Sangh has launched a public campaign to urge the residents to remove the local leaders Stofigar, which they accuse of vengeance and harassment and prevent the “basic gear” including winter coats.
According to the union, the authorities were allegedly on strike during the time, the department still made seven drunk driving arrests, issued more than 300 tickets and responded to about 2,000 more calls for service compared to the same period a year ago with 14 less officials.
