    At least six terrorists were killed by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Kalat district of Balochistan, the army’s media wing said on Saturday.

    According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces performed an operation in Kalat district on the alleged presence of terrorists.

    ISPR said, “During the operation of the operation, his own soldiers effectively worked in place of terrorists and after an intensive fire exchange, six terrorists were successfully neutralized.”

    The slain terrorist laws were actively involved in recent terrorist activities against the enforcement agencies as well as innocent civilians.

    Meanwhile, the army’s media wing stated that a sanitation operation was being done in the area to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, “Pakistan is firm to thwart to thwart vegetable efforts for peace, stability and progress of Baluchistan,” in the form of security forces of Pakistan.

    According to data released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICS), a think tank, the country saw a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in January 2025, increased by 42% compared to the previous month.

    Statistics have shown that at least 74 terrorist attacks were recorded across the country, resulting in 91 deadly persons, including 35 security personnel, 20 civilians and 36 terrorists. Another 117 persons, including 53 security forces personnel, 54 civilians and 10 terrorists, suffered injuries.

    Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained the worst affected province, followed by Balochistan. In the districts of KP, militants carried out 27 attacks, resulting in 19 deadly individuals, including 11 security personnel, six civilians and two terrorists.

    Tribal districts of KP (Eastern FATA) saw 19 attacks, leading to 46 deaths, including 13 security personnel, eight civilians and 25 terrorists.

    Balochistan experienced an increase in terrorist activity with at least 24 attacks, claiming 26 lives, including 11 security personnel, six civilians and nine terrorists.
