I Last time I thought of myself, I can miss “this ideal day”. So ideal that I could do it again and again Groundhog Day-Con, regrets some death. I was in Los Angeles and it was February 2024. I went to the morning spin class, then worked till lunch when everyone in Britain logged back in for their evening. Then I went to a library and spent a few hours, which was interested in an individual field. Next, I took myself to an early dinner, which my phone was spent on seeing the people of California with my personal trainers and sexy-socker fashion sense, and finished the day of being foolish with my friend at my home. In the year, I have good days, fun days and compelling days, but there was no one who feels that perfect.
This was not because I was in “holiday mode” away from London; This was because it was a balance to do all this, speaking proportionally. I had to follow my tendency, indulge in life and still achieve whatever needs to be done. That observation suggested me that there is a certain chemistry for the ideal day – and researchers at the University of British Columbia have now only discovered this.
Social scientists analyzed data from the American Time Use Survey, where the participants explained how much time they spent on 100 separate activities, including all the big hitters, such as dumkrolling, exercising and socialization on the phone. He then saw that the participants said “better than the typical day” and saw how much time it was spent in those days. This average became the sutra of the right day of the person.
This is the menu: six -hour quality time with the family, two hours with friends, socialization of one and a half hours, 15 minutes of work with six -hour working day, two -hour exercise and one hour maximum screen time. Here the only thing that is strangely affixed to me is a two-hour exercise, which seems excessive for most people-but it can probably count as a two-hour walk around a park with friends, mixing activities. To add this template day to the normal amount of waking up, you probably have to combine things anyway.
In general, this formula makes a total understanding. Our ability to apply it, however, rests on the fact that our working days are long, usually eight or nine hours – “right” away from six. Personally, I have been designed for hyperfocus for about four or five hours and then I am dry, with inflating for the brain, it is lucky to spend the rest of the work on important tasks, such as scrolling on my phone, distracting additional coffee or others. If we are not an entrepreneur, it seems that many are leading to an ideal life to reach the rounded heights of the right days, we are at the mercy of companies for whom we work.
It is clearly important to have enough time for friends and exercise. For bad days, most of my sub -ups are those for which I do not have time or (or plan for both). And if you are going to do a family, I think, yes, spending six hours with them is a good thing. Given that many people like me live away from their families, are single or no family, I am eager to see what is an ideal day for us instead of an average American with 2.4 children. Instead I will spend those six hours alone on quality, like I did in LA, essentially searching, learning, reading or hobbing.
Ultimately, what this sutra brings to the mind is called “everything in moderation” and “balance is important”. In this sutra, all the elements of life are given their right place, which they can provide, almost honored for it. Even the goods that feel like work, like work, are seen for the importance that can bring to the overall meaning of a person’s time. This is very bad, I think that we have become so different from our natural rhythm that the allocation of our actions needs to be decided for us. However, we are already living our life for nine hours of work in a day and a blueprint of five hours of screen time. Perhaps we need a new formula to consider.
