A Honduran man accused an Iowa woman of killing an Iowa woman in 2016, while on Friday, after drunkenly drunk, joined the United States in the United States in the United States when she fled the United States after her release on bonds.
The Foreign Department said Easin Mejia was arrested in Honduras on Thursday and 21 -year -old Sarah was put in an aircraft in the US to face justice for the death of Root.
“Nine years ago, Sara was tragically killed by an illegal immigrant, which later ran away from our county,” wrote on X by State Secretary Marco Rubio. “Today, the Trump administration is announcing Sara’s killer to face justice from Honduras to the United States once and for all.”

Mejia, who was allegedly getting drunk, was allegedly getting drunk when she crashed into a route in a stoplight in Omaha, Neb in January 2016. He later died in a hospital.
Mejia was detained and accused, but ran away from the country after being released on Bond. He was later added to the American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “Most Wanted” list.
At the time of her arrest, the Ice said that Mejia was not a “enforcement priority”.

Border agents first faced Mejia in May 2013, when he arrived in Nogels, Eriches, and Sen Ben Sassey, R-NEB, was named as a unaccounted child, according to an ice response letter. “As is required by law,” Mejia was shifted to the refugee rehabilitation office, which sent him to Omaha in 2014 to live with his brother.
After the January 2016 arrest for a motor vehicle murder, ICE officials “faced Mr. Mejia just once,” but did not get into a custody.

In February, Honduras arrived on an agreement with the United States to continue a century -old extradition treaty. The officials signed a compromise between the two governments after expressing concern over a meeting between Honduran officials and Venezuela Defense Minister Vladimir Padarino, which faces allegations of drug trafficking in the US in the US.
