Texas Rangers Left-Hander Patrick Corbin scored his first win of the season on Wednesday night, but it was a beginning that he was not able to make.
Corbin and Rangers believe that the criminal was “poison” from a clear bite on his leg two days before his start, making it difficult to walk.
Corbin told reporters on Thursday, “They told me something, but I still don’t know what it was.” “I had nothing like that. It was super strange.”
In a 3–1 win over Los Angeles Angels, Corbin allows one run in 5⅓ innings, Ranger Manager Bruce Bocha said it was “50/50” if he would pitch due to his ankle position.
Corbin stated that the swelling had developed around a scene cutting mark on his foot by Wednesday morning, but it was “tolerant” when he was wrapped in his ankle.
“It was really bad in the morning,” Corbin said. “Just a very swollen leg. … I was not sure I was going to throw that morning. My wife was really worried. I (Wednesday) came to do some treatment (Wednesday) and (left from there).”
Corbin said he still felt anxious in an ankle on Thursday, but he was confident that he would not need to remember the time.
“I was lucky to get through yesterday,” said Corbin. “I have some time to recover and go good to recover.”
Two-time all-star Corbin, who entered his 13th season, joined the Rangers on a one-year deal in March. He is 1-0 with 3.86 ERA in the beginning.
