Celebrity stylists often charge a fee from Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 lakh to keep a single organization together. However, these numbers are estimates that can change according to stylist’s location, experience and services provided. Actress Rakul Preet Singh has opened her experience with celebrity stylists in the film industry and how much they charge.
In the 27th episode of The Finding Out with Raj Shamani Podcast, Rakul Preet Singh explains how expensive it is to rent a celebrity stylist. The actress revealed. “There is a team to do this. You are not doing anything … It is expensive. A stylist can start for a single look or more for ₹ 1 lakh for a red carpet look to a red carpet look.”
Rakul further revealed that in the film industry, pay for a celebrity stylist, the photographer who shoots your look, and your hair and makeup team. “I have worked with the same makeup and hair team for 6 years and they are now like a family and never ask for anything,” he said.
Moving forward, he clarified that celebrities do not pay designers for clothes wearing on red carpets. Rakul said, “You pay to the stylist, who is the source of the organization. What the stylists do, they charge a fee from his assistants to the charges of courier.
He revealed that designers always give clothes to celebs because clothes act actor, pay attention to social media, which gives a designer visibility and increases their sales. “Sometimes, I buy clothes that are curated for me by stylists. Ethically, I don’t like taking them for free,” he said, expressing dislikes to get clothes for free.
On the work front, the 34-year-old actress was last seen with Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar in a romantic-comedy film, Mere Pati Ki Buyi.
