MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he supports a proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, but has expressed concern about its details, to clarify further discussions with the United States to clarify further discussions with the United States.

Putin made his first remarks on the plan, which Ukraine agreed in a conversation with the United States on Tuesday, saying that he was for the “proposed ceasefire”, but “it was” for the nuances “and he had” serious questions “how it would work.

Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski condemned Putin’s comments as “very manipulating”, suggested in his night address that Putin is acting “really a refusal for the proposal”, but “Wanted to continue this war”.

The United States has called Russia to agree to a ceasefire without any condition, but Putin raised many objections, saying: “I think we need to talk to our American colleagues … Maybe make a telephone call with President Trump and discuss it with him.”

Putin said that a ceasefire was a “right idea”, but Ukraine would benefit at a point when its military failures are suffering while Russia is rapidly occupying the region. He also questioned how a ceasefire measuring thousands of kilometers would be monitored with a front line.

Trump said Putin’s statement was “promising”, but “not complete”.

Trump said, “A lot of details of a final agreement have been actually discussed. Now we are going to see what is Russia and if not, it will be a very disappointing moment for the world,” said Trump.

“I would like to meet or talk to him. But we have to get it with fast.”

After visiting a military headquarters in the Kursk region on Wednesday, the Russian President appreciated the progress of his soldiers against Ukraine, saying that he was “practically moving forward in all areas”.

He said that “Depending on how the situation on the land develops, we will agree to the next stages of ending the struggle and reaching the acceptable agreements for all”.

As Trump pushed for a quick end for a long struggle over three years, his messenger Steve Witcoff arrived on Thursday to discuss the plan in Moscow.

Russian news agencies said that Yuri Usakov, a top Kremlin colleague, said that Vitkoff would meet Putin when the President “gives the signal”, the Russian news agencies said.

Russia has been grinding forward in the battlefield for more than a year, and on Thursday claimed that it has operated Ukrainian forces from Sudaza city in Russia’s Kursk region.

Trump has expressed optimism that his team may secure the ceasefire despite the benefits of Moscow’s battlefield.

    ‘Long -term peace’

Putin said on Thursday: “We agree with proposals to prevent enmity, but on the basis that the expiration will cause long -term peace and address the root causes of the crisis.”

Russia has already refused to accept foreign peace soldiers in Ukraine, which is part of a ceasefire or long -term security guarantee for Kiev.

Ukraine has created from European colleagues to deploy military “contestants” over its territory after the struggle ends to protect against future attacks from Russia.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said in a briefing, “It is completely unacceptable for us that the army units of other states should be stationed in Ukraine under any flag.”

“It should be a foreign contingent or a military base … It would mean the participation of these countries in direct armed conflict with our country.”

    Battle for the chairs

Meanwhile, Russia claimed rapid progress in the Kursk region-where Kiev had crossed a limit last August and has since organized the area.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that it had “freed” Sudaza along with two other settlements in the border area.

Sudza, a house of about 5,000 people before the fight, was the largest settlement seized after starting its blow attack in Russia.

The Kursk region was one of the few bargaining chips of Kiev in the exchange of land with Russia, which took the fifth position of Ukraine as it took Crimea in 2014 and attacked his full scale in February 2022.

According to military bloggers, after finishing dozens of square kilometers (mi) in the last week, Ukraine now fully risk losing its grip in the border region.

In Ukraine, the military administration of the Sumi region said on Facebook on Thursday that it ordered a compulsory withdrawal of eight villages near the border with Kursk, “due to” regeneration of operations in the region “and” continuous shelling by Russia “.

Moscow progressed rapidly in the region after the US prevents intelligence and security aid for Ukraine, although analysts and officials warned against making a direct link.

Washington said that he had resumed his support for Kiev before a conversation with Moscow.
