South African all -rounder Corbin Bosch has formally responded to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about his decision to withdraw from Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, which cites financial security and long -term career development as primary reasons.
Initially selected by Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 10, Bosch opted to join the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), instead a step that disappointed PCB officials and questioned his commitment to PSL.
The board initiated legal proceedings through the bosted agent, given its return as a violation of the contract.
On Monday, Bosch addressed PCB’s concerns, clarifying that his decision was not intended to weaken PSL.
He reported that signing with Mumbai Indians was a strategic career move, which was the dominance of the franchise in the IPL and its strong global connections in many leagues, which could provide them with better long -term opportunities.
The PCB is now reviewing its response to assess the violation of the contract and decide on possible tasks against the player.
After the return of Bosch, Peshawar Zalmi proceeded rapidly to sign Australian Middle-Serial Batsman Mitchell Owen as his replacement for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, the construction of anticipation for PSL 10 is going on, which is scheduled to kick on Friday, April 11. Defending champion Islamabad will take the tournament opener at the Tournament Opener at the United Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
