At least six people have been injured in relation to a possible active shooter situation at Florida State University (FSU). The university police said they were responding to a “active scene” in the Talhasi campus and working to “bring it under control”. The FSU wrote on X that an active shooter was informed in the student union and directed them to give shelter in the campus.
A senior law enforcement source from Florida told Fox News that at least one person was in custody, but could not confirm that the person was a shooter. Additionally, FBI’s Jacksonville Field Office and Talhasi resident agency office are on the spot.

The FSU has canceled all classes through Friday and said the pathetic incidents in Talhasi were canceled over the weekend.
President Donald Trump is informed on the situation and has made a brief comment in the Oval office. He said that it is “terrible that such things happen.”
“(FBI) is on the scene in the state of Florida and we are in communication with agents on the ground. Our priority is safety of all. We will keep updating because we learn more. Praying to everyone,” Attorney General Palm Bondi wrote.
FBI Director Kash Patel said he was informed on the situation, and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed that the bureau was on the spot in FSU.
Bongino wrote in a post on X, “FBI is on the scene in FSU. I am going back to DC from my LA office, but we are getting updates on the situation on the aircraft. We will update you because we learn more,” Bongino has written in a post on X.

Talhasi Memorial Healthcare (TMH) sent a statement to Fox News on the situation, stating that he had received “an incident” patients at FSU. However, TMH did not give any information about how many patients or what treatments were administered citing the patient’s privacy concerns.
“At this time, the details are still coming out, and we do not yet have specific information to share. However, we want to assure the community that our teams are fully gathered and are ready to provide the highest level of care and support to the affected.

FSU student Cole Summers, who was in the student union, told Fox News Digital, “I was getting food in Panera and heard a group of girls saying something about a gun, when I heard the shots and started walking immediately. I ran after the union and as I was running, I heard more shots from the union’s entrance,” FSU students who were coming from the union, which was the student of FSU, who was the student of FS told.
