According to an announcement by the Vatican, the 88 -year -old Pope Francis died on a stroke and cardiac arrest Easter on Monday.
Fox News’ Alex Hogan confirmed in an on-air report that Pope had a stroke in the morning of 21 April, went into a coma and then a heart attack.
Pope’s death follows years of ongoing health concerns, including recent hospitalization for double pneumonia.

The official death was announced on Monday at the Pope’s residence in the chapel of St. Martha.

Pope Francis served for 12 years and advocated reasons including migrant rights, climate change and LGBTQ inclusion, Hogan said.

According to the report, the Pope’s recent bout with pneumonia expressed concern about his health, with a stroke incident saw his death as a shock among his loyalists.

Dr., a neurologist at Bath Israel Decoce Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Sandeep Kumar first told Fox News Digital, “The loss of stroke blood flow has caused brain injury.”

“A normal blood supply is generally important for the brain and for the protection of its structure. Blood flow obstruction deprives the affected parts of the brain to obtain oxygen and other nutrients, resulting in these tissue to disintegrate rapidly.”
While according to the association, two main types of strokes, ischemic and hemorrhagic, ischemic stroke are the most common, accounting for 87% of all cases.

Kumar said, “Blood flow in the brain can be compromised when … a cerebral artery is blocked by blood clots or plaque,” Kumar said. “This is called an ischemic stroke.”

According to Kumar, in the case of a hemorrhagic stroke, the blood vessel supplies the breakdown of the brain, causing bleeding within the brain tissue.
He said, “Bleeding can directly damage the brain cells or deprive the surrounding tissues from obtaining adequate oxygen and nutrients,” he said.
