Karachi: Karachi Police’s Anti-Vyalan Crime Cell (AVC) arrested Armaghan Qureshi’s father Kamran Asghar Qureshi on Thursday-the main suspected suspect in the case of Mustafa Amir Amir.
According to the Anti-Vyalan Crime Sale (AVCC), according to the Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anil Haider, the arrest, the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) came during a police raid at Armaghan’s residence in Khayban-e-Momin neighborhood.
Stating that ICE (drugs) and a 9 mm pistol were recovered from the suspect, the SSP said that a case has been registered and further investigation is going on.
Kamran’s arrest follows the fifth expansion of the anti -terrorism court (ATC) of the physical remand of the prominent suspect in connection with Mustafa’s kidnapping, murder and drug trafficking case.
The investigating officer (IO) had earlier revealed that Armagan had accepted the entire incident after Mustafa’s murder in his father, saying that his father had advised him to leave and hide Karachi, assuring him that he would also move the software house to another place.
The participation of the federal investigative agency (FIA) and other institutions in the high-profile case is also investigating various aspects.
The government lawyer argued before the ATC, saying that Armaghan was allegedly responsible for supplying hundreds of youth with drugs and also to torture many girls and boys.
Armaghan revealed the entire saga after setting fire to a team of AVCC – a special unit of Karachi Police responsible for dealing with murder and forced recovery – during a raid at his residence in DHA, Karachi on 8 February.
The body of the deceased – on January 12, a car near the hub checkpost was found by the police and was buried by the AD Foundation on 16 January – was buried by his family after confirming the identity in the initial DNA report.
Meanwhile, the police have already handed over the laptop recovered from Armaghan’s residence along with their mobile phones along with their mobile phones.
