If you feel that your toilet seat has bad and unhealthy bacteria, wait as long as you read what this study has got!
According to a report by the National Sleep Foundation, an American non-profit organization, pillow cases that have not been washed for almost a week, carry more bacteria than the toilet seat. The report said, “Beds including sheets and pillows, can deposit a significant amount of bacteria over time if not cleaned regularly. Washing without four weeks, both pillows and sheets can be millions of colony units (CFUs) per square inch per square inch,” the report states.
“After a week of sleeping on your pillow, it accumulates over 17,000 bacteria or 3 square inch bacteria compared to units that make more than 3 colony of more than 3 colony of more than 3 colony of more than 3 colony,” the report states the report.
“The normal types of bacteria found in bed include gram-negative rods, gram-positive rods, basili and gram positive cockese. Some of these bacteria can cause potentially infections, while others are less harmful.”
Possible dangers are being exposed to you sleeping on impure pillow cases
Sleeping on dirty pillows can be subject to many types of bacteria, fungi and allergies, which can cause a series of health problems. Acne and skin irritation are only two of the common issues. Pillows are saturated with oil, sweat, dead skin and bacteria, prevent pores and cause breakouts or exercise conditions such as eczema and rosesia. Fungal infections like ringworm can also form if mold or yeast grows on moist, dirty material.
Respiratory problems are another issue. Dust particles, mold spores, and pet dander gather in pillows, which can cause allergies or increase asthma. Symptoms can cause sneezing, congestion, water eyes and shortness of breath. Chronic respiratory diseases can be made worse than prolonged risk for these allergies.

Bacterial infections such as staphylococcus (staff infection) and streptococcus can also be transmitted through dirty pillows. If there are open cuts or acne in the face, the infection can be caused by bacteria without clothing. Fungal spores can cause dandruff or skull infection.
In severe cases, long -term use of dirty pillows may also contain bed bugs or lice, which can cause skin itching and irritation. To avoid these losses, one must wash the pillow weekly and practice good hygiene for better health and quality sleep.
