Pending tax work? Income tax department offices to stay open on March 29-31

According to the news agency PTI, despite the observation of weekends and Eid-al-Fitr, which may coincide with Monday, the Income Tax Office will continue its operation.
Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT)) “For the convenience of completing pending departmental work, all income tax offices across India will be open on 29, 30 and 31, 2025.”
The last day of the financial year as of March 31, 2025, and all government payments and settlements should be finalized by this date. Additionally, this assessment is the last day to submit the updated Income Tax Return (ITRS) for evaluation of the year 2023-24.
A similar notice has been issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in which banks involved in government business have been directed to be open on 31 March for the convenience of taxpayers.
To ensure that government receipts and payments are blamed properly within the current financial year, RBI has also made arrangements for special clearing operations across the country.
