More than 400 migrants were evacuated from a theater in Paris, where they had been squat for more than three months.
The police allegedly used tear gas at the beginning of the operation, but for the most part, the withdrawal went without any incident, the Reuters said.
Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo told France Inter Radio, “At this stage, it was a matter of doing because the situation was becoming complex, stressful and dangerous.”

According to reports, the French police arrested more than 46 people in Tuesday’s operation. It was not clear that all 46 were arrested as the arrested, as the police clashed with the workers supporting the squatters during the operation.

The Paris Police Prefect Laurent Nunez said that some were arrested for “rebellion”, while the evacuation operation was underway and others were detained for “administrative investigation” according to Le Monde. Nunez clearly called the migrants of Paris’s Gyte Lyric Theater a danger to the “public order”, the outlet said.
