After the Pakistan team’s disappointing 2โ0 defeat against New Zealand in the T20I series, head coach Aqib Javed said that people always want to win, they do not understand that sometimes it takes time to do so, saying that they will return to the third match.
Speaking to the media in Auckland, Javed commented that the team had full potential to win the third match against New Zealand, stating that there will be some changes.
He said that people lost the first two matches, however, the beginning does not mean that the team will not win.
He said that there will be problems in considering the players, who have not played much outside the country.
The coach said, “It is not easy to play in the situation in New Zealand.”
He also stated that New Zealand has small boundaries and suggested the batsmen to play from the top to achieve good scores.
New Zealand opener went to six-heat Blitz to thrash Pakistan by five wickets on Tuesday and went up 2โ0 in his Twenty20 series.
New Zealand is currently leading the T20I match series against Pakistan.
Commenting on the T201 team, the head coach said that the subject of Sarfaraz’s captaincy is four years old. In addition, the team, which was good to play in T20, is also a two -year -old subject, he said.
“Cricket has changed. T20 teams have been designed separately and we are trying to form a separate team for T20 matches,” they said in Auckland.
Revealing the future plans of the national team, the coach said: “We are preparing for the Asia Cup and World Cup.”
Javed further said that when Sam Ayub and Fakhar join Zaman, a good team will be formed.
Additionally, commenting on the performance of the players, the coach said that it is not a great thing for a bowler to deal with 4 sixes that the performance of fast bowlers should maintain excellence.
He focused on Shaheen Shah Afridi’s performance and said that if he wants to prove himself internationally, he would have to increase his game.
