Pakistan has once again been fined for a slower rate, this time during his second ODI against New Zealand in Hamilton on Wednesday. The match referee Jeff Crow imposed a five percent match fee fine after Pakistan’s target was fined, even after time the allowance was considered.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan convicted the crime and accepted the approval, ending the need for a formal hearing, confirming the ICC on Thursday.

This marks the second consecutive match where Pakistan is punished for a slow rate.
In Napier, in the first ODI, visitors were found to be low two overs and after losing by 73 runs, a penalty was fined 10 percent of their match fees.
1–0 in the series, Pakistan suffered another heavy defeat in Hamilton, leading to 84 runs. Mitchell Hey’s Career-Best 99 operated New Zealand till 292/8, while Ben Sears’ five-wicket hall (5/59) destroyed Pakistan’s chase, despite late resistance from Fahim Ashraf (73) and Naseem Shah (51).
The last ODI of the series is set on Saturday at Mount Munganui, where Pakistan will aim to escape from both another fine and a chain whitewash.
