The women of Pakistan performed brilliantly in a low scoring competition as they defeated West Indies by 65 runs to register their third consecutive win in the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday.
Pakistan’s women’s team set a target of 192 runs for the West Indies, with the help of Sidra Amin’s important innings of 54 runs. Batsman Muniba Ali scored 33 off 60 balls, followed by Sidra Nawaz’s 23 and Alia Riyaz was 20.
From the West Indies, Hail Mathews, Karishma Ramahark, and AFY Fletcher sent three Pakistani batsmen to the pavilion, while Ashmini Munishar and Aliah Allene made a skull skull.
However, the West Indies batsmen failed to perform well in batting as they finished their innings for only 126 runs, with top scorers Alia Alini and Shabika Gajnabi, who managed to score 22 and 21 respectively.
