What happened? Hundreds of stars and Hollywood officials have signed an open letter, urging the Trump administration to deny the proposals of AI companies that will allow their system to be trained on copyright work without obtaining permission.
More than 400 actors, musicians, filmmakers, writers, and more signed a letter sent to the White House, including Ben Stiller, Mark Raffalo, Kate Blanchet, Paul Mekartney and Ron Howard, Rap reports.
The letter, which is not publicly, has a reaction to performing in the office of Science and Technology Policy from Openi and Google, stating that companies are allowed their AI models without permission from (or compensation) rights holders on copyright functions.
Openai said that comforting copyright laws will promote “freedom of learning” and will help protect America’s national security “. Both Sam Altman’s company and Google said that change will help in “strengthening the lead of America” โโagainst the Communist Government of China in the field of AI development.
The letter of the stars argues that there is no reason to eliminate copyright security to help improve the AI โโmodel.
“We strongly believe that America’s global AI leadership should not come to the cost of our essential creative industries,” the letter states.
“AI companies are asking to reduce this economic and cultural strength by weakening copyright security for films, television series, artifacts, writing, music and voices, which are used to train the AI โโmodel at the core of the corporate valuation of the multibilian-dollar.”
Thanks to all X 10000 who signed our statement and spread the word later this week. This is just the beginning, and a lot of work is to be done, but I can’t be proud of this community (and the press that covered the story with such clarity).

The open letter also states that the US entertainment industry supports 2.3 million citizens and contributes $ 229 billion annually, while “Foundation for American Democratic Influence and Soft Power for also provides abroad.” If Google and Openai find their way, it will be in danger.
Some of the other famous names signing the letter include Adam Scott, Guillermo del Toro, Natasha Leon, Synthia Erivo, Kate Blanchet, Foebe Wallar-Buries, Cord Jefferson, Batte Middle Mider, Kate Blanchet, Ava Dunvet, Paul Simone, ‘Gladstone, SAMNALING, SAMNALING, SAMNELING, SAMMLING, SAMNALINE Brian Mousar, Ryan Johnson, Paul Giyamatti, Maggi Galenhala, Alphonso Kuron, Jude Apato, Kim Gordon, Chris Rock, Juliet Lewis, and Michael Solel.
This is not just in the US where famous celebrities are protesting against this issue. The UK has made proposals that will allow AI companies to train their models on any material, in which they have legitimate access. Any creator or companies who do not want to use their work have to get out, an option called inappropriate and unhealthy.
The situation in Britain issued a silent album in protest against more than 1,000 musicians, including Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Annie Lenquars of Eurithmix. The album, called is this what is called? Other protests in the UK consisted of several daily newspapers, including the slogan of “Make It Fair” on the front pages.
