The trust has also welcomed two Tata Group officials, RR Shastri and Jamshed Poncha as a new appointment. According to the ET report, after these additions, Khambata has resigned from the RTET board.
Sources told The Financial Daily that RTET has the ability to jointly work with Tata Trusts on scalable projects of mutual interest.
Both Deenna and Shirin Jejbhoy serve as the executive of Ratan Tata’s will. Legal experts confirm that there is no restriction that beneficiaries or executives have to be prevented from holding positions in organizations mentioned within the will. They note that individual laws are private and usually cannot apply restrictive elements in a will.

The distribution of Ratan Tata’s assets will begin after passing through the probate and receives the High Court certification, a process that usually requires up to six months.
Ratan Tata established this individual endowment trust, allocated to support the charitable initiatives of the Trust with the Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation for Estate Planning purposes.
Shrenik Gandhi, the managing partner of Shrenik Gandhi’s chambers, states that Rata Tata Endowment Foundation (RTEF) works as Section 8 company under the Company Act, 2013, which mainly focuses on philanthropic activities. Meanwhile, RTET, being a private trust, comes under the jurisdiction of the Trusts Act, 1882.
