Five players from Pakistan had registered 45 for women draft and for men’s draft.
With limited foreign slots and a competitive selection process, it was not perfectly surprised that Alia Riyaz, Fatima Sana, Yusara Amir, Iram Javed and Zavaria Rauf remained unaffected.
However, it was lightly surprising that no Pakistan player was selected in the men’s draft, despite many foreign slots are still available in the teams.
Naseem Shah led the pack as a Pakistani player, with a reserve value of £ 120,000. Meanwhile, veteran all -rounder Imad Wasim and Rising Star Sam Ayub set their reserved price at £ 78,500.
Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali and Mohammad Hasanan were listed with a reserved price of £ 63,000. In contrast, many others including Mohammad Abbas, Hyder Ali and Ammad Butt had registered without specifying the reserved price.
This season of hundred has seen a change in the scenario of the tournament, allowing external investment in the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) franchise.
All eight franchises have now received investment, four of which are supported by the owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The IPL has a complex relationship with Pakistani players. Since 2008, Pakistan players have not been allowed to participate in the league.
However, figures like Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raj have played coaching and commentary roles over the years.
Apart from Pakistan players, England veteran fast bowler James Anderson was also ignored in men’s draft.
In early 2024, 42 -year -old, who retired from international cricket, entered the draft after signing a year contract with Lancashire for the upcoming season.
Anderson, who has not played T20 cricket in more than a decade, will be involved in the T20 blast, but failed to secure one of the 26 available domestic places in a hundred. However, they can still be included as a wildcard pick.
Afghanistan’s left -arm wrist spinner Noor Ahmed and New Zealand all -rounder Michael Bracewell emerged as the most paid foreign signatures, both gained £ 200,000 deals.
Ahmed will join the Manchester Originals, whose new owners, RP Sanjeev Goenka Group also owns their SA20 franchise, Durban Super veterans.
Bracewell was raised by last year’s runner -up, Southern Bahadur. His heavy price tag shows his performance for New Zealand in his recent Champions Trophy campaign.
He played an important role in the final against India, scored an unbeaten 53 and 2 for 28.
David Warner achieved his first deal in hundred, joining the London Spirit £ 120,000 after being ignored in last year’s draft. The step re -associations him with his former Australia head coach, Justin Langer, who took over from Trevor Belis in Spirit in January.
Warner is one of the five Australians with Ashton Turner (Spirit), Relay Meedith, Chris Green (both Welsh Fire), and Jason Behrandorf (Oval Invensibles).
One and the first time was selected was Rachin Rabindra of New Zealand, who was picked up by Manchester Originalal for £ 120,000.
Refresh as a tournament player in the Champions Trophy, where he scored 263 runs and took three wickets, Ravindra’s stock never over.
Lockey Ferguson, his compatriot, also achieved a contract of £ 120,000 with Trent Rockets.
Many England players earned big contracts. Jamie overton signed a deal of £ 200,000 with the London Spirit after establishing himself as a major seam-bouncing all-rounder in Odis and T20I.
He will join Lord’s by Jamie Smith, the team’s centrally contracted England player.
Zak Croly released by Spirit signed a contract of £ 120,000 with Northern Supervisors. Meanwhile, his nominated England player shut down a domino effect as the acquisition of Chris Woakes by Welsh Fire.
David Willy achieved an attractive £ 200,000 deal with Trent rockets, while fellow left-arm Seemar David Payne took Willy’s vacant £ 120,000 slot into Cardiff.
Fire initially intended to use its right-to-match card for Willy, but rockets did not do so after securing them in the top bracket.
Steve Smith (a direct signature) and Johnny Bairstow filled their two top slots, taking Bairstow to a slot of £ 200,000 instead of fire. Payne, who initially joined the fire for £ 40,000 in the inauguration 2019 draft, improved their contract significantly.
Youth Pratibha also got opportunities, 17 -year -old fast bowler Harry Moore of Derbyshire joined Birmingham Phoenix in £ 41,500. Meanwhile, Durham Batter Ben McCini was rewarded for a strong winter with England Lions, raised by Manchester Originalal for £ 78,500.
However, his Lions team partner Rocky Flintoff, the son of coach Andrew Flintoff, became inaccessible.
Overall, 270 domestic and 350 foreign cricketers registered for a hundred men of men.
Before the start of the competition on 5 August, teams can add two more players to their squads in the wildcard draft of May.
