New Delhi: International cricketer council ,ICC) Has announced its update UmpiresAllahudian Palekar of Alex Wharf of South Africa and England joined the prestigious group. Nitin Menon remains Indian umpire On the panel, confirming their position among the world’s best match officials.
Menon, who finished second behind Richard Illingworth, continued his place despite a change in the lineup. Michael Gough and Joel Wilson have been replaced by new promoted Palekar and Ghat. ICC President J Shah, appreciating the contribution of the outgoing umpires, greeted the new entry.

“According to the definition, being an aristocratic officer brings an investigation and pressure with him, but we are confident that both Allahuddin and Alex have officers of nature, experience and skills, who are constantly distributed at this top level,” Shah said. “From the ICC, I wish them all the best for the upcoming season as well as the future. We honestly thank Joel and Michael for their services over the years.”
Former first -class cricketer, Palekar thanked for his promotion, credited his masters, colleagues and family for his unwavering support.

“This is an important moment in my umpiring career. Being on this panel brings pride and responsibility,” said Palekar. “My father, Jamalodian, was also an umpire and remains my inspiration.”
The Ghat echoed similar feelings, thanked the ICC and ECB for their guidance.
He said, “I appreciate the support received for years and look forward to this new chapter.”
The 2025–26 Elite panel features umpires around the world, in which Menon has continued to represent India at the highest level.
