Green Bay Packers want Tush to be pushed out of NFL, but there are two other rules which will be voted, the League’s Football Operations Department announced on Wednesday.
It was reported that Packers were the team that sent a formal proposal to ban the play by Philadelphia Eagles.
But it is now official that after football operation, it was revealed that Packers wishes to replace Rule 12, Section 1.
Packers’ official rules change proposal “would prevent an aggressive player from pushing a team partner, which was straightly parked behind Snapper and immediately receives Snap on Snap.”

The proposal also states that the penalty will be assessed on any aggressive player violating the rule. Tush Push was popularized by Eagles during the 2022 campaign. Green Bay saw it last season, and Eagles used it several times in his playoff matchup on the way to win the super bowl.
But Packers were not the only team in search of changes in 2025.
The second of the three proposed rule changes was from the Detroit Lions, who wanted to see Rule 8, Section 4, “an automatic first downed down as a penalty for defensive holding and illegal contact.”

The current rule for illegal contact and defensive holding is a distance of five yards and a automatic first lower disadvantage, and Lions say it is very decorated.
Lombardi Trophy-winner Eagles “Postsen and regular-Seasons are looking to align the overtime rules, giving both teams an opportunity to be subject to the 15-minute overtime period in a regular session, regardless of the first occupation results, regardless of the result of the first occupation.”

The overtime rule was discussed for a long time before the NFL finally changed it to get both teams only a chance to get into the playoffs. There are old rules in the regular season, which ends the game by the team in the first football possession, ends the game, which gives the opponent no chance to refute.
Lions are also looking for two bylav proposals for the 2025 season at the annual league meeting. They want better seeding for wild-card teams.
They propose that the composition of playoff seeding is at high level in playoffs to allow wild-card teams with better records than division champions. No matter that records, four division winners get a domestic game to start the playoffs at each conference.
Some wild-card teams end up with a better record than their opponents in the wild-card round.

In 2024, Minnesota Vikings moved forward 14โ3 during the regular season and had to travel to face NFC South winners at 10โ7 on the road, Los Angeles Ram. Vikings lost 27โ9 in the wild-card round. Packers had a better record than Ram at 11-6, but had seventh seeds.
All these changes will be voted during the annual meeting, which starts from 30 March.
