On its first visit to Orbit, NASA’s astronaut Nicole Aerces has introduced itself from three robots aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

“We hit the ground (or floating) at the space station here,” Aires, who arrived at the ISS a week ago, wrote in a post on X. “In addition to the data collection for one of the studies, I helped me load some software on the estrobes. It’s bumbled!”

As Astrowbe Robot is a technology performance and is designed to assist ISS astronauts with regular duties, taking inventory, documentation of experiments, documentation of experiments, or transferring cargo, freeing astronauts to take care of tasks, “requires a human touch.

Compact, cube -shaped flying robots were developed and manufactured at NASA’s AIIMS Research Center in Silicon Valley, California, and sent to the Orbital Outpost in 2019.

NASA’s astronaut Anne McClenne unpacked the first Astrowbe Robot – Bumble – on ISS in 2019. NASA

The floating bot includes various cameras and sensors for navigation, and also comes with a touchscreen, speaker and microphone. They even have a mechanical hand in which various equipment can be attached.

Instead of swimming independently, the Astrobee robot uses a fan-based propulsion system to move in a specific direction, the power for fans and the rest of the robot is provided through a battery on a ship. When the electricity runs less, the robot navigates in a nearby dock to automatically recharge.

NASA said on its website, “Robot will play an important role in the agency mission to return to other deep space missions along with the moon,”. “Robots such as Astrobe have the ability to become careful for future spacecraft, which are working to operate the system smoothly during the removal of the crew and keep the system smoothly operated.”

One of the most famous robotic devices of the space station is Canadarm2, which is a 17.6-meter-lumbar robotic arm connected to the outer part of ISS since 2001, which performs functions such as moving supply and equipment, and assist with the spacewalk. Earlier this year, NASA shared the video footage of astronaut Sun. Williams while riding on Canaderm 2 during a spacewalk, 250 miles in London, England.
