The Business Disability Forum (BDF) has launched a new collection of images to mark the International Day of Person of Person of Person with today (3 December) (3 December). Images of people with disabilities in everyday conditions will be available to businesses and media and its purpose will be to challenge perceptions and increase understanding around disability. They are the latest additions for the expedition to the Business Disability Forum for the widespread disability Smart Image Bank and its ‘disability image’.
Professional and non-professional disabled models have been introduced for new collection created by major business and disability inclusion organization. The latest images were shot at a busy airport and shown to disabled people traveling, working or known to a major transport center. The participating model expressed the importance of people with disabilities.
Caterin Pugh, who was one of the professional models of 30 years of age from London. She has been emotional about improving the depiction of disability since her accident eleven years ago, which left her with a visual loss, an organ difference and a broad mark on her body, which affects her dynamics. He said that after his accident, he never saw anyone’s image, which looked like him.
Caterin said:
“At that time,” I really saw what I was seeing was how to look and be right. I was very sad because I was not clearly in a position to reach those standards. I knew that wherever I went and whatever I saw in marketing campaigns and advertisements, I saw anytime, anytime, anyone who looked like me. ,
Director of Business Disability Forum, Lara Davis led to the construction of the Disability Smart Image Bank and change the image of the disability campaign. Lara said:
“Many times people with disabilities are not represented in those images and materials or are presented incorrectly. It is feeling isolated to people with disabilities and disappearing valuable customers and employees. We hope that our latest collection of authentic images will help people disabled to see and understand. ,
Disability Smart Image Collection
The expansion of 100 new images Business Disability Forum is part of the Disability Smart Image Bank. The image bank has around 600 images of people with visible and low-visible disability and conditions in everyday conditions. Images are available for members of the Vocational Disability Forum and a free collection of 60 images has also been created for the media.
Image is part of the ‘Changing the Image of Disability’ campaign of the Bank Business Disability Forum, which was launched earlier this year. Research published by the Business Disability Forum as part of research and part of the campaign conducted by IPSOS found that disabled people often ‘disappear’ from the imagery seen in media, marketing, or advertisements.
- One of the UK adults surveyed by IPSOS had not seen any disability represented by the third (32 percent) viewed, observed or read material during the last 6 months. It is a disability despite 4 out of 4 people in the UK.
- At the same time, less than a quarter (23 percent) people with surveyed disabled agreed that images of people used in those materials used in the material they had seen or read, they had seen or read, their own disability Reflections experience.
‘Changing the Image of Disability’ campaign on businesses and media said:
- Increase representation of people with disabilities in imagery.
