Tye Gibbs was unhappy with Tyler Radic during the NASCAR Cup Series’ Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday afternoon, as Denny Hamlin won the race after finishing fifth in Homestad last week.
The event between Gibbs and Radic at Lap 298. Gibbs became slightly wide in one of the corners, and the radic tried to slide it under it. The way the gibs was coming down to correct, the radic came from behind him and thrown out the gibs.

Broadcasting heard Gibbs’ radio, and the driver of the number 54 car was sad.

After the race, both drivers had an animated chat, but cooler heads appeared strong.
Hemlin won his first win of 2025 season after starting the race in the fifth. He led 274 out of 400 laps and scored 53 points to go with it. He was ranked ninth in Stage 1 and was in the first phase 2. In addition, he was 4.6 seconds ahead of the second place Finisher Christopher Bell.
This was the first time Hamlin won in Martinsville in 10 years. He placed a flag as soon as he got out of his car, “11 Against the World.”

Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larsen dropped out of the top five. Ross Chastain, Ryan Preis, Joy Logano, Chess Brisco and Todd Gililland were dropped out of the top 10.
